This policy explains how Pobl Software LTD ("Pobl", "we", "us" or "our") uses cookies and similar browser technologies on the Pobl HR marketing website.

We use Google Analytics 4 cookies by default to understand how visitors use the website, and necessary browser storage to remember your cookie choice. You can reject analytics at any time using the cookie banner or Cookie settings. If you reject analytics, Google Analytics is stopped, analytics cookies available to this website are deleted and no further analytics information is sent to Google.

1. About this policy

This policy applies only to the public Pobl HR marketing website, including its feature, pricing, contact and legal pages. It does not describe the session, authentication, security or trusted-device cookies used by the separate Pobl HR application.

Our use of analytics is limited to measuring page views, scrolls and searches carried out on this marketing website. We do not use advertising cookies, Google Ads, remarketing, Google Signals, advertising personalisation, User-ID tracking or cross-domain tracking.

2. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your browser or device. Cookies can remember information between pages or visits. Similar technologies, such as local storage, can also save information in your browser.

We distinguish between necessary storage, which remembers the choice you ask the website to save, and analytics cookies, which measure how the marketing website is used and which you can reject.

3. Necessary storage

The website stores one item in your browser's local storage so it can remember whether you accepted or rejected analytics. This prevents the cookie banner from appearing on every visit and enables us to respect your choice.

This local-storage record is not used to identify you, analyse your activity or send information to another organisation. It is stored because it is necessary to provide and remember the cookie choice you requested.

4. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to produce statistics about visits to the marketing website. This helps us understand which pages are useful, how far visitors scroll and what visitors search for, so we can improve the website and its content.

Google Analytics loads by default when you visit the marketing website. If you select Reject analytics, the Google Analytics script is stopped for subsequent activity, analytics cookies available to this website are deleted and no further analytics information is sent to Google.

4.1 What we measure

Google Analytics may process:

• the pages you visit, their titles and the time of the visit;
• whether you scroll far enough for a scroll event to be recorded;
• search terms used in the marketing website's site search;
• the website or page that referred you to us;
• general browser, device, operating system and screen information;
• session and interaction information; and
• approximate geographical information, such as country, region or city.

Please do not enter personal, employee or confidential business information into the marketing website's search field. We do not send names, email addresses, account information, Customer Data from the Pobl HR application or a Pobl HR User-ID to Google Analytics.

Google uses an internet protocol (IP) address briefly to derive approximate location for UK traffic, then discards it before logging the analytics information. We cannot use Google Analytics to see an individual visitor's IP address.

4.2 Analytics cookies

We configure these cookies not to renew their expiry on each page load. They may disappear sooner if you reject analytics, delete them or use browser settings that remove them.

4.3 How Google processes data

Google Ireland Limited provides Google Analytics and processes analytics information for us under Google's data processing terms. Google may process information using systems in the United Kingdom, European Economic Area and other countries. Where required, Google uses recognised safeguards for international transfers.

We configure Google Analytics without advertising features or advertising personalisation. Event-level and user-level analytics information is retained for 14 months. Google's standard aggregated reports may remain available for longer.

5. Your choice

When you first visit, the cookie banner explains that analytics cookies are used by default and gives you equally available options to accept or reject analytics. We store that choice for six months. Until you reject analytics, Google Analytics remains enabled.

Legitimate interests in understanding and improving the marketing website is our usual basis for storing or accessing Google Analytics cookies and processing the resulting analytics information. You can continue to use the marketing website if you reject analytics.

6. Changing your mind

You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings control in the website footer or the button below. Opening the settings clears your saved choice, removes the Google Analytics cookies available to this website and asks you to choose again. Analytics remains enabled unless you reject it.

If your saved choice reaches its six-month expiry, we remove it, delete available Google Analytics cookies and ask you again. Rejecting analytics does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before you rejected it.

7. Browser controls

Most browsers let you view, block or delete cookies and site data. Blocking necessary local storage may cause the cookie banner to reappear because the website cannot remember your choice. Browser controls vary, so consult your browser's help documentation for instructions.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if our use of cookies or similar technologies changes. We will update the date shown at the top of this page and, where a change affects how analytics is offered, ask you to choose again.

We do not currently use other analytics, advertising, behavioural tracking, embedded-media or social-media tracking services. We will update this policy and the cookie controls before adding another optional service.
